DUE TO Hurricane Helene, current rain amounts here and local forecast calling for heavy rains through Sunday I am canceling the meet n greet lunch!  Thank you for your understanding!  Septembers meet n greet lunch will be a nice relaxing Moto Guzzi luncheon at my house.  All food soft drinks, coffee, water provided.  Ride on over for a nice meal and Moto Guzzi Gab!  Sit and relax by the fire pit!  Please select if you are riding over so Peggy and I have a head count for lunch!

I know of a guy who just finished an iron butt ride on his 1969 Honda Cb 750 chopper,similar to mine.  Woo hoo that’s awesome!

Bob, if you like old-school choppers, you should watch this YouTube movie (and at 2:25 long, I mean MOVIE!) about a bunch of young guys that ride their home-built Harley choppers on a loop around California. Mostly Sportster engines and an Evo, maybe one Twin Cam.  One of the bikes is so "old-school" it's kick-start only, and no front brake!!  Channeling Easy Rider!  Something to watch on a rainy day when you can't get out.

Weather for the 29th is looking a little suspicious.  I’m watching rain percentages!  Will post on here if cancelled due to rain.  Hopefully not!!

Tropical depression Nine is supposed to push through the area during the middle of the week (we sure can use the rain).  So I'm predicting sunny sky's by the weekend.  My weather forecasting skills can't be any worse than the so-called professionals.

After spending the day recuperating and reflecting on the weekend in my head, I want to thank everyone who attended the 24th annual Kentucky Moto Guzzi rally. What a blast, we started out a little stressed over attendance because September was a vary full month for rally’s this year. In the end we had nothing to worry about with an attendance around 90. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible and who come from near and far. I heard it said many times over the weekend that the Moto Guzzi FAMILY is the best. Hope to see the whole family again next year and add some new members also. Please feel free to post pics that’s my one regret that I don’t get to take many pics so we love seeing everyone else.

Calling for heavy rains at my house Wednesday through Sunday.  4.25” Wednesday, 3.50 on Thursday, 3.25 on Friday, and 1.75 on Saturday with 3/4” on Sunday.  That’s in my local forecast.  I will make a decision on canceling the meet and greet lunch scheduled for Sunday at 11am, on Friday.  My yard will be soaked if we get that much rain!

Hasn't rained all summer.  Now when we want to have a get together, we get a Hurricane!  Sometimes you just can't win.  Although, watching the weather on the news about an hour ago, they only showed a 30 percent chance of rain Saturday and Sunday.  So who knows?  Just depends on how fast this thing moves through.
