Neat “way back machine” post.
Sweet reminder that every worn, well-ridden old bike was once a brand-spanking new bike, pumped and promoted by the moto-press, obsessed-over by drooling enthusiasts and magazine-readers like us, seen (often) for the first time by a not-so-casual visit to a dealership “just to check it out,” haggled over and purchased with financing or hard-earned cash, ridden off the lot with the shittest-eating of grins, and parked in a driveway or paraded to friends’ houses to marvel-over with teenage glee.
The medium and technology changes. The experience never does.
