2017 Cali 1400 oil wrench

I have a 2017 California 1400.  Specifically, what oil filter wrench will fit the oil filter?  I had one and moved...it got left with the other house and got sold in a yard sale.
I have a HIFLO HF-565 filter.

You should be able to get a multi size filter removing tool.

Thank you for the reply.  Yes, I am well, thanks for asking and I have tried all the tools you displayed.  Unfortunately, the filter is recessed and the cooling fins are so close to the filter that it does not yield to any of them (and others I have tried as well).  However, I am hot on the trail of a thin-walled 76mm 14 flute cap wrench.  It comes in tomorrow and if it works, I'll post it so others will know that it works.

One more possible suggestion and fix.
Simply drive a long screwdriver through it near the end of the filter and turn filter with the screwdriver. In a turn or two it should be hand removable. I’ve did this in several applications and it works fine. Maybe a little messy but I’ve never failed to remove a difficult filter that way.

It is same as one of the scooters Piaggio makes or Aprillia. You may want to take a trip to local scooter shop.Alternative place to look.

Be warned Hiflo, and others, use 14 flutes on the filter but some other manufacturers use 8 flutes. Eventually you will end up with both then you'll change vehicle and start again as the diameter will change, I must have half a dozen in the toolbox by now.

I thought I had every oil filter wrench I'd ever need - but I
needed a new one for the big Cali.

And there's simply no room in there to use anything else.
There ARE - destructive - ways to get the old one out, but
options to install the new one without the correct
wrench, or a reasonable facsimile thereof are limited. I suppose if you could find
one that would fit into the recess that has an inner diameter that's too big,
you could pack it out with duct tape or suchlike and use that. I've done
that sort of thing before, but the HF-565 already has a pretty big diameter.

There is an adjustable end-cap wrench with 2 "prongs", but I've never
been able to find one. That might work if you can find one in an old-fashioned
auto store.

Thanks to all to responded.  Each response gave me a little more information to work with. To Stretch - I've tried two and three pronged wrenches, but neither of them fit inside the cooling fins.  Danny, you're right, once I removed a filter with a screwdriver, and it was messy.  The issue then becomes, how to put the new one on.  I was supposed to get the thin-wall cap wrench today, but I got an email telling me it will now arrive tomorrow.   
When it arrives, I'll try it and let you all know how it works and where to get one.

I received the filter wrench yesterday night and sure enough...it did not work.  It is the third one I have returned so far.  (Even though the different Websites said they would work for my bike...but that's a different topic.)  After further research, I circled around a 76mm 8 flute cap wrench.  It is supposed to arrive Monday.  I'll keep you all informed.  This is now a challenge that I will see through to a successful end.

Your local auto parts should have two or three versions of this three finger set up. One should work.

When I had my 1400 I also had trouble removing the oil filter. I had a cup type from the local parts store. It slipped just like as reported here. None of the other ones I tried worked either. My solution was to place a piece of plastic from a plastic bag over the filter and tap the cup on the filter with a ball peen hammer. The filter would come loose, no problem. I have been hesitant to do the screw driver method, what if the filter rips, then what?

If I'm reading the parts list right, the filter is in a cavity in the pan but threaded to the internals of the engine. You could pull the pan and then get any wrench on it you like.

Then, depending on the brand filter you use, get the correct cup style wrench for it.

MG cycle I think has the cup style to use listed when you click on the filter.

I use the cup type with the closest size that will fit.   I put a hole in it and when I want to remove the filter I drive a sheet metal screw through it.   It works great.

Once again, thank you to all who responded to the "ongoing oil wrench dilemma".  I found the El Pescador's response particularly interesting.  It adds a new "twist" to the destructive removal of the oil filter.  And, Tom H, that is also an intriguing solution...I hope it doesn't come to that but you never know.
The latest wrench is due tomorrow...watch this space  .

   Hurray!  I finally got a cap wrench that works.  I got it from Amazon (CTA Tools A263 Cap-Type Oil Filter Wrench - 76mm/Jeep), $5.28 and free shipping.  It is a 76mm, 8 flange cap wrench.  Once again, thanks to all who replied, and yes Tom H, when I searched MGCycle, it does offer a wrench that fits the HF-565.  It is more expensive, pay for shipping and at least one week to deliver.  But it is an option.

It looks like I have everything I need to do my first oil change on my 2017 Cali 1400 Tour (6,800 miles).  I know-very low mileage, but that will change since I sold my other Cali 1400 (2015).

The A263 does not fit the filter on my 2014 Cali 1400  Just ordered the 76mm 14 flute Harley socket.

The 76mm "Harley" 14 flute does fit.  I see from PO's receipt, the filter came from Harper Moto.
