V7III Headlight Weird
« on: October 31, 2024, 02:01:50 PM »
I have a V7III Special.
I notice if I turn the key on and push the bike forward the headlight comes on
Is this just another weird Guzzi thing or do all the Guzzi's do this?

My V7 III Milano headlight works the same way. It does not turn on when the key is turned on but rather once the wheel sensor tells the computer there is movement, the computer turns the headlight on.

I suppose this is to ease the burden on the electrical system while starting the bike? I think newer Ducati's also use this procedure, maybe more of a European thing than exclusive to Guzzi's.

It is a feature for those urban parking garage dwellers and so you can push your dead bike down the road with some light.   :azn:

I find this feature to be quite useful, especially @ campgrounds after dark or when putting the bike away in the evening .
