A few months ago, our daughter decided to get her motorcycle license. She thinks it may be advantageous to be able to ride a commuter bike if needed while in Japan teaching as currently planned & that already having a license may help. Multiple friends ride here in the states and she wants to do the same. She loved her Z50 when she was little & was always the princess of the motorcycle shop but has been ambivalent while growing up in my motorcycle-saturated world.
So both of us have been looking for a great deal, easy to fix/service street bike to seed her process & fit her minimal budget like she’s watched us do for her entire life. After a few weeks of chasing, last week we bought this 92 FLSTC for $1200 just a few miles from our house here in SC. Owner died over a year ago, so it needs minor sorting by Daddy-Daddy/daughter as schedule allows around college graduation this fall.

Fast forward to today. She’s in Milwaukee for summer & is now at HD dealer to get a “real” HD shirt on her birthday (today) while she’s there. Apparently she’s sharing pics of it because an employee at House of Harley offered $3k for it. She doesn’t want to sell it now but is pretty stoked to already being ahead figuratively $$ of the game.
