 What is the advantage of inverting only one rear shock. ?  2004 Stone Touring.

 Apparently Works Performance shocks.  I don't know which model.
and a rebuild is necessary as they are leaking.

.. there's a steel ball inside the damper rod, that blocks off the lower rebound section: flip it over and the compression section gets blocked. Possibly. Patent pending.

I’ve seen it on Earls front forks. 99 on EV ‘s have one front leg rebound and one leg compression damping. It’s used on off road buggies as well.

So do a lot of other bikes.  Not the same as mounting upside down.

If the shock will work upside down I can see it. Clever idea - but looks wonky, I'm sure.
