My low beam went out. I've been meaning to r/r it. One of the friends said it's a halogen while the high beam is a led. Any thoughts? I'm thinking of replacing with led if true. I keep forgetting to do the maintenance. Most of my riding is during the day when I'm on vacation. The bike is in PHX and will be prepped before going to WI. Have to prep the brain for road trip too. Checking the shop manual.

You got 11 years out of the OEM. Why change?

Actually, I'm the 4th owner. No. 2 & 3 didn't put that much mileage on the bike. OEM low beam lasted till 2022. Night riding, I use high beam and touring lights.

What I found out because "Youse guys was no halp!" 😒 No clue for the turn signal. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Halogen bulbs H3 for low beam 55w. H7 for high 55w. Fog lights h8 35w.
Same H3, 7 & 8 mounts for LED bulbs. LED bulbs supposed to draw 1//3 less juice from the bike's electrical grid with way less heat. Cost/availability about the same as halogen.
I won't know for sure till I pull the headlight nacelle apart and fingers crossed for install. 🤦♂️🤪
