Buell starts production of it's Super Sport Tourer

$22K plus taxes, dealer prep, license & registration etc.  Should make it close to $30K.     BUT "a claimed 185 hp and 102 lb-ft of torque and have a wet weight of 439 lb."

I read a great article about the guy behind Buell..Really hope he makes it but they don't have a bike yet I'd be interested in. I don't like the looks of any of them.

Ugly bike and more ugly saddle boxes ($1500). I'll be curious how that windshield works out for touring. You need to be out of the wind/turbulence when touring.

For that price, I'll pass.

News flash….nobody is buying that to tour on.

If you have one foot on a banana peel and one in the grave you’re not the demographic Buell is going for.

They are calling it a Super Tourer.

But I can't imagine touring on that Tourer. I guess it comes down to the buyers definition of a Tourer motorcycle.

I’m retracting my previous comment. I was looking at the second link posted by AJ. That bike looks nothing like a sport tourer but more like a Dyna or Low Rider ST in profile

I am a huge fan of Erik Buell, whom I consider the "Colin Chapman" of the motorcycle world.  I gather he is not involved in this?

Second question: Is this yet another motorcycle designed for NBA stars?  (What is the seat height?)

Correct, Erik Buell is not with Buell anymore. He is currently CTO at FUELL which have a focus of electric motorcycles and ebikes.

A goodly percentage of the riders here would be looking for a lie down before the Buell broke a sweat…
Too many guys slagging it off, it’s gunna’ be a better bike than most of us are riders.
Bugger me.
You’ve only to look at the lame excuses why some guy won’t go and get a Norge that’s 2.5 days away yet we collectively stand in judgement on the thing.
I reckon it’s probably darn decent, to my eyes it looks good to go. I’d rather be on that than a poxy FJR Yamaha or such. Those things have all the personality of a wooden spoon.

No need to spend >$30,000+ for a new BUELL...when you can sport tour on one of these classics!! :thumb: :boozing:

A bit stodgy, perhaps, but comfortable and reliable and capable all day long (IMHO).

Don't think anyone mentioned, Fuell moto, Erik's latest misadventure filled for Chap 7 bankruptcy last October.   The guy sure has a knack for being on the wrong team.

Don't think anyone mentioned, Fuell moto, Erik's latest misadventure filled for Chap 7 bankruptcy last October.   The guy sure has a knack for being on the wrong team.

And just to clarify, Chapter 7 means "liquidation" of the company's assets, i.e. selling it all off to the highest bidder. that means the company is kaput. And their are fraud allegations related to this:

"On August 21, 2024, Erik Buell responded to a concerned backer’s email with what could only be described as a bombshell: "I have been retired from FUELL for some time. I did do the core design concepts for the new Flluid models but have not been involved in the design refinement and commercialization process of them. There is a great small team there who are working on that, and they would be able to let you know the situation.""

The "original" fake (real?) new Buell motorcycles did a piss-poor job of integrating the radiators into the design. That to me is the main aesthetic fault.

But I also wonder about the ethics of a company that would market bikes under the well-known last name of someone no longer involved in the company but who was very much alive and was the basis of the reputation.. Very scammy it seems to me, the whole deal, Buell, Fuell....

I think Erik has a knack for motorcycles but is not the business side of motorcycles. As for the Fuell brand who'd a thunk a overpriced boutque e-bike would not be selling in droves. Same is going to happen Neuvo Buell, only a matter of time before its tits up.

I wouldn't say the issue was with selling the motorcycles as they didn't even make it to the point of selling the motorcycles.
