Fog light - max draw?

I have a pair of 10W and 24w spot/flood LED's I wanted to put on.
Max draw would be about 1.668A for the 2x10's and 4A for the 2x24's (Given that we calculate the draw by dividing the wattage/voltage)

Would it be overtaxing the Norge alternator/charging system to mount all 4 and light up the night?

I run a pair of 10W LED spots on my V7III Special, they make the bike more visible for other road users

One nice thing about LEDs, they are maximum brightness with only 9 Volts or above so its ok to have some Voltage drop in the wiring.

They say 550W at 2,000 rpm

You have a volt meter built into the dash.  keep a weather eye on it.
I've had other motorcycles that should have been ok but at low rpm did not put out enough juice.

Assuming you install an on/off switch, just turn them off in stop and go traffic. Shouldn’t be an issue on the highway.

There you go then try it out but be prepared.
Have a switch on the bars and turn it off under 2000 revs
When my V7III Special was having alternator problems I would turn off my heated gear well before I knew i was going to stop so the battery had a chance to recover
Lets face it overloading a motorcycle electrics is risky business
the 2 10 Watt units should be ok.

I checked the other day when riding and it was showing 12.2 with not much difference over 2000rpm or below.
Mind you this is without any accessories or additional lighting installed.

The previous owner was a bit of a tinkerer but in true SG fashion half-asses the wiring. He mentioned he created an additional direct link from the alternator to the battery with an inline fuse which I see but haven't traced yet. I'm going to get a PC-8R from Eastern Beaver and wire that in, whilst cleaning up all the additional loose wiring under the seat before adding any lights or farkles.
