So on my G5 the rear case on the gearbox has had the pivot welded on after a drop years back. Should have just replaced it.
Anyway, having just had the box out, I was pulling my puzzler as to why the threaded clutch adjuster is screwed way in. I've been wondering for years why that's the case.
Obviously the pivot is a mm further out.
Is the adjuster hardened, I guess so? I fancy replacing it with something longer by 2or3 mm.
I'm thinking of using a grade 8 M8 x1 bolt obviously cut and slightly domed at the end.
Any suggestions or knowledge?
Cheers
