ST2 Brake Module Product Review
« on: October 13, 2025, 11:09:17 AM »
The ST2 Brake Module system applies the rear brake light during engine braking and de-acceleration.

I ordered the Brake Module (and turn signal canceler) on Sept. 9.

Price was $89 + $10.99 for expedited shipping - 2-5 days (turn signal canceler was $149 + $10.99 exped. shipping)

The website was well done and I did not realize I was ordering products from a foreign country, Slovenia.

I immediately got an email confirming my order. But NEVER any return emails on questions I have asked them which caused me to be suspicious.
When the products didn’t come in 5 days, I sent another email with NO RESPONSE.

2 1/2 weeks after ordering it (still not realizing it was coming from Europe), I started receiving emails from DHL Delivery stating that duties needed to be paid ($30 on brake module and $33 on turn signal canceled) still not knowing it was coming from outside the US, I thought it was a scam until further investigation and a call to DHL, Then I learned it was coming from Slovenia and I really did owe $30+$33 if I was to receive them.

Long story short, I paid the tariffs, products arrived not 3-5 days but 3 WEEKS after ordering them and still not knowing it answers to my emails!

A riding buddy and I located the 3 wires to the brake light and installed it in about 20 minutes. The wire connectors are a different type then I’ve seen before and without my friend’s help, I would have been clueless because the directions did not show how to install/use them. Thankfully the brake module DOES WORK as designed. Since the 1200 Sport has a ton of engine braking, I use that quite often to slow down. I’ve always felt vulnerable from behind because of this. Now anyone following me will see my rear brake light come when I’m downshifting and know that I’m slowing down.

Would I buy it again? Yes.
Is it a well made product worth the price and tariff? Yes.
Would I pay the expedited shipping? No.
Is their customer service terrible? YES.

Eventually I’ll install the turn signal canceler and I’ll post a review of that. It’s more complicated to install.

Shipping duration side it this a cure waiting for a disease? It sounds like the throttle is basically the the "on/off" switch for the brake light. So unless you are actively applying throttle and accelerating the brake light will be on? Ever time you up/down shift the brake like will blink "on" as you chop the throttle and pull the clutch (decelerating) to chunk it into another gear then the light goes back off when you accelerate/decelerate and repeat to the next gear and the next. I can imagine out on the highway as you are constantly making throttle adjustments to maintain speed the brake light being on/off confusing the heck of people following you.

The next day after it was installed, my buddy and I went for a 200 mile ride with most of the time he was following me. He said it worked as designed and only came on when I was downshifting in lower gears (third to second and second to first) when slowing down, not on and off throttle. I seems like a well thought out product. It’s just the customer service that lacks.
