Wonder where the inspiration for the color scheme came from

Nice!
I have same albeit an 83' in original red-white "coca cola" colors (that how we call them here in italy )
Have you ridden the bike before?
With my long inseam i found i discovered that i couldnt ride with those fairing lowers without my knees touching the edges
so had to remove them, stored in the attic....

Love the color combination! I have an '80 SP [bought it new!] and looking for some inspiration for a freshening up and you just provided it!
Thanks

Yes I have ridden it quite alot. I am 5' 11" and my knees just nicely rest on the lower fairing pads. The only modification I made were setback risers for the bars which makes the ergonomics about perfect for me.

I would have NEVER dreamed up that color combo, but it looks incredible! Very sharp
I think your luggage rack needs some 'drillium' to literally and visually shed some weight

Yes the rack is a homemade item for my topbox, did not want to run sidebags with it. May make some modifications to it

The colour choice was very brave and I wouldn’t have thought of it, but beautifully executed. Being Italian allows the bike to carry the look, that is a wonderful piece of work you have done.
Enjoy the hell out of it…
