We’re coming Wednesday- leaving Sat Am, they have us in a couple different sites and possibly moving to overflow while we’re there. Who would have thought State Park camp sites are full in April? But that’s how it’s been in all the parks we’ve stayed at in Arkansas, I can see why they have some great parks.

Worse case you can stay with us, if the camp will allow it. Not sure what the rules are in structure limits. We will have two hammocks set up

my friend John and I will be in site 81. 

At least 3/4 of the camp sites are gone already.  Popular place.

   I'm packing now.  My only question is should I bring gear to make coffee?

I would bring personal coffee fixings if I was you always gotta have an emergency stash in case there’s not any around.

LOL - I bring my Keurig.  It's easier to find 'lectric than it is to find coffee.

We’re here at the camp ground site 9 until Saturday morning. On the way in  Hiway 154 has road work going on, looks like they just put down fresh seal coat. Little yellow plastic tabs mark the center line, couple areas had to stop for flag person and follow a pace car single line a few miles. No big deal didn’t slow us down much. Nice Park I’m looking at a beautiful Lake view now from our site.

Arriving early Friday Afternoon

Not going to make it this weekend. Had a bit of a delay with some parts and bike is still on the bench. The good news is there is light at the end of the tunnel…the old Ambassador is very close to being a reliable rider again.
FYI… I just cancelled my reservation for campsite 63 if anyone needs a spot.
Really sorry to miss but will see you some of you in Cedar Vale.

Unfortunately yes, traveling by RV, we watch the weather closely, Saturday and Sunday northern Iowa Mn predictions of sever weather, including straight line winds and heavy rains. So we enjoyed Petit Jean Wednesday and Thursday, drove through the park campsites hoping to see any early arrivals. We packed up and left the park around 11:30 saw a couple Guzzi’s looked like Brevas on our way out. Thinking next year we’ll try to schedule our vacation with the Arkansas rally in the middle. You have beautiful parks and awesome roads, we enjoyed 3 weeks of awesome weather, one day of rain. It started raining today by Joplin and been drizzling ever since. Hope the weather holds for the rally.

We’re going to try beating the weather and hope to get home late Saturday night, before the rough stuff hits.
