Seems something gets lost in translation.
Using U Tube or anything else for instruction/demonstration for completing a task(s) is not the same as an "expert opinion" from, well, you know.

For examples on how professional reviewers present read anything by Alan Cathcart.

If we listened to the idiots out there with all their keyboard experience, none of us would probably be riding a Moto Guzzi or more than one. I test rode an Ambassador in 1970 but bought an R75/5 instead but that Guzzi stuck in my mind for many years. I have owned four and now trying to resurrect a T3.

.. bought an R75/5 xxxx instead but that Guzzi stuck in my mind for many years.
I guess that's the bad and the good, with regards to MG; don't appeal enough on the first experience but gnaw away at so many of us, until our wallets finally give in.

"...with regards to MG; don't appeal enough on the first experience but gnaw away at so many of us..."

FWIW, I had the opposite experience re Moto Guzzi.  In many MANY years of riding - mostly sport bikes or sporty-type bikes I had never ridden or even sat on a Moto Guzzi.  I viewed them as old, slow, ponderous machines of no interest to me.

I bought my blue '21 V7 Special last year simply because I figured that I should own a MG once...just because.  I thought that since I bought it used (with 6800 miles from the THIRD (!) owner), I could sell it with little loss if I decided I didn't like it...which I assumed would be the case.  I bought a new Harley some years ago for the same reason - figured I should own one once.  I sold it 6 months later ...for more than I paid for it! :)

BUT...the opposite has happened with this V7 - it's by far the lowest HP bike I've owned since I was in my 20's yet I seem to have more fun riding it than any bike I've owned in years and it struck me that way immediately.  I really like it and am thinking of trading in my Texas BMW R1200RS on a '26 V7!  My one hesitation is that I'm not wild about the current colors of either the Sport or Special.

If you decide to get a late model V7 make sure you get a '26 as there have been some big upgrades for that year. Although I think the Sport got them a year earlier. I was pleasantly surprised how much of a change from my previous 2019 Special. When I test rode the Ambassador I felt it was a bit too big and clunky as I was somewhat young and wanted something a bit more sporty. I was getting off an R50/2 which I now owned in Colo which was way too under powered for the altitude and the high passes. The MG was kind of like that bike as far as handling went. I was already a BMW fan at the time so the R75 fit the bill.

I am quite pleased to hear how well you have bonded with the V7 Special.   Regarding the new colors, I suggest seeing the Verde Legnano V7 Sport in person.  I think you might like it!  That color also has a rich Guzzi heritage behind it.

So many silly broad brush comments about hating on YouTube content providers. How sad.

I find YouTube content providers to be much like Internet forum members. In that it’s quite easy to tell who’s full of themselves, who’s full of crap and who actually knows what they’re talking about.

I only frequent the latter category.

I stumbled across this fun and informative site called "butt crack cycles".  He's limited to old Harley content, (I don't own one) but very entertaining and informative.  E.G., a pretty thorough demonstration of diagnosing, checking and adjusting the pushrods on an old Shovelhead.  He seems very open and honest and not trying to sell you anything.  It's like anything, there is good and bad and most is in between.
