Out With The Old and In With The New
« on: April 10, 2026, 09:04:56 PM »
The 1935 GTS had its time for TLC and has been rolled off the lift today.  The 88 years newer 2023 V100S has taken its place.  Both wonderful machines.  What a time warp!

I would be surprised to find an 88 year old V100 in the future. Of course I'll be dead long before then.

I've owned many bikes a total of 70 so far and the V100 is by far the most sunning mike from any manufacturer I've ever seen wish i was younger I'd buy one in heart beat.

Similar to posing a Model T next to a GT-40.

[edit] Actually, a Ford GT is a more appropriate comparison than the GT-40, in as the Model T and the Ford GT were both intended for street use, unlike the GT-40.

That's a good question.  Ride sharing is problematic around here.

It is sublime out on the back roads.

Great post showing them like that, thank you. And great collection! I also like the V100, too bad it's not great for comfortable 2-up (for the passenger) otherwise I'd probably grab one... but neither is the 1935 GTS, lol - seems Guzzi only offered the V1000 and T3 line to accommodate comfy 2-up riding

Both works of Art. Be interested on hearing your good / bad opinions on the V100, considering moving the Norge for one. As much as I love the Norge, seems like every year it gets heavier.

I had a 2015 Norge that I liked quite a bit.  It was amazing out on the slab.  The 8v Norge gained some weight over your 4v.  The V100 is a bit lighter than the 4V Norge by about 30 lbs depending on where you get the numbers, therefore not a huge difference.  The respective seat heights are about the same, but the V100 seems easier to flat foot, and must have a lower center of gravity, because it is easier to bring upright off the sidestand for me.

The V100 handles the twisties better than the Norge based on my impressions.  The V100 is just as comfortable as the Norge on long rides.  The V100 has everything I thought the Norge needed to be perfect.  It is an amazing bike.

It certainly charmed the guys on The Lemon Drizzle Gang.  They absolutely loved the V100.
