I found myself gaining another motorcycle yesterday.  As some of you may know, I had an uncle until 2017 when he passed away. Other than my dad, he was my most favorite human being. He's the one that got me into Moto Guzzi's back in the mid 90's when he gave me his beloved 1972 Eldo. Fast forward to 2010, I bought his 2001 California Special, named Calvin, after him. Calvin McKeever.

Well, this past week my cousin who inherited his 2007 Goldwing called me up stating he cannot keep the bike and wanted me to have it. I couldn't turn that down. So, a quick trip to Wichita to grab the bike. Now, I have a stable of 5 motorcycles. Good problem to have for sure. But the fact that two of them used to belong to my favorite human is even more humbling. I'm gonna have to take it for a ride when it warms up today to get acquainted with it. I'll likely take it to a Honda shop and have them do a multi point inspection on it and give it anything it may need since I know nothing about these. But, I have to say it's really quite an attractive piece. I can see why he liked it so much.

Nice one. When it comes to “ big” bikes, like this Wing, I think they look better in darker shades. This one looks nice.

Once you acclimate yourself to the size and weight, you will probably want to take it on a multi state ride.

I have a 2008 gold wing. They are great bikes! You will be surprised by the power and handling. Its a giant sportbike with its aluminum frame!

Rode it about 200 miles today. It's very nice. Silky smooth. Crazy that the only thing I could really hear was the hum from the tires. I do with I could raise the handlebars a bit though. I can see myself riding this quite a bit.
