2026 Vespa Recall

I don't have a Vespa but get the Recall notices from the U.S. DOT.  Seems that all the Vespa scooters have a recall for not having the Missing Warning on Rearview Mirrors.  If I owned a '26 Vespa, I don't think I'd take it back for that item.  Make an appt., drop it off.  Come back later and pu.  🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Honda similarly had a recall on some Groms recently where the resolution was to replace the emissions label. The bike was emissions compliant, the label just had the wrong info on it. A label that some percentage of riders probably remove anyway to de-sticker their bike for a cleaner look. I only keep that sticker on mine because it lists the valve clearances.

Okay, I went back to the NHSTA website.  I misread some of the remedial action by the dealer.  They have to replace the mirrors for the missing sticker.  This just gets better.   😂🤣🤣  They can't just put a sticker on the mirrors.   😊

Isn't the warning engraved or something into the glass. The powers that be don't want a sticker that can be removed like we do to all the other warnings we get on our machines that are mostly gone on the first day. Which brings up a question, when I bought my Audace all the EPA emissions stickers were plastered all over the rear fender in plain sight. They weren't even straight. So my question is are these installed at the factory or does the dealer put the correct stickers on depending on the country or state? Just wondering.

Good thoughts.  EPA concerns different per country.  Most manufacturers now make 50 state U.S. compliant models.  Don't know.  Laser cut/etched on the mirrors??  🤷‍♂️
