I’m having trouble replacing the headlight on my V7 II, and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on where I should look for a solution.
I bought an LED headlight (the PUIG 1944N
https://puighitechparts.es/en/tuning-motos/lights/led-headlight) to replace the headlight on my V7 II, which is broken and rusted. The PUIG website doesn’t mention that it’s compatible, but that company doesn’t list correct compatibility for most of the parts they make. The connector is exactly the same and snaps right in (in the photo, the headlight socket is on the left and the Guzzi connector is on the right), but unfortunately the headlight doesn’t turn on at all on any setting.
The headlight itself works; I tested it on another bike and it works. Also, the V7’s factory headlight works as well (both settings turn on).
Could there be an issue with the fuses or resistors, since the LED draws less current? If that’s the case (or even if it isn’t), any ideas, please?
