Here we are on the front porch of the mountain cabin in North Carolina. They allow these SxS vehicles to run up and down the paved roads here. Annoying.

One just went zooming by on the pavement. Left rear tire totally missing. Rear brake rotor or whatever is there, throwing a shower of sparks.

What? Why would anyone treat their vehicle like that? I can only guess that it is four-wheel drive to even be able to do that.

That's nothing.  I saw something similar at the Atlanta airport once.  A tug driver (you know, those big tractor-like vehicles they used to push back the airliners) was flying across the ramp with a flat rear tire. When the driver attempted to turn the tug, the rear tire parted company from the rim.  The drive stopped for about 10 seconds, looked down at the rim now sitting on the concrete, and then took off again at full speed across the ramp in a shower of sparks!  The scar in the concrete was there for years.    Some folks just don't give a sheet.

My personal favorite lately brought to my attention by the installer of our mini split Airconditioner/ heat pump system is “Stuff like that”. He eventually did an OK job and with our recent heat/ humidity wave, we’re very happy it’s installed even though it took him a year to install 5 heads and two compressor units.

In my first conversation with him he used the phrase “and Stuff like that “ no less than 25 times in a 3 minute conversation, I kid you not. It got so annoying I started referring to him as and stuff like that when having conversations with my wife. Over time I’ve gotten so attuned to the phrase being used by a lot of folks, even hearing news announcers/ reporters on Public radio using it.

So now when my wife happens to be gone for a day and texts me asking what I did all day its not necessary to provide a list of my accomplishments, I just say played with the dog and stuff like that. And we both get a laugh out of it.
So get off my lawn and let me change the oil on my bike, drink a beer and stuff like that.

I have found that I can annoy myself sometimes!

Heck, I look back at things I did/way I acted when I was young and if I met that guy today I'd think, "What an a$$whole!"  ;)
