More from the company website…

https://www.jcb.com/en-US/explore/insight/news/2026/06/jcb-hydromax-world-land-speed-record-attempt-surges-ahead/

Apparently they hold world speed records for…get this

A tractor, and

A backhoe.    :boozing:  79mph

Some amazing statistics about the build in the website article

The pistons alone need a litre of oil PER SECOND !!!!

What I think is incredible is having tires that will hold together at such speeds and a vehicle that's stable. Powering an engine on hydrogen is a no brainer - that's all that's burning in gasoline anyway, which is hydro carbons. Hydrogen and carbon. The carbon pollutes while the hydrogen delivers the power. Same with alcohol which has also been used as a fuel. The 13 years of prohibition (1920-33) were mainly to stop farmers powering their equipment with alcohol by the oil interests.
