Last time I rode my 02 Le Mans the bike started making the death rattle as I was accelerating up a steep mountain road here in North Georgia. Had it towed home where I removed the oil pan. Plenty of copper and metal flakey bits in the bottom of the pan. Likely spun the lower bearings. Have not pulled the heads to check for cylinder scoring. I have the engine out and part of the fly wheel/clutch assembly removed but dont have the tools for the clutch housing basket or the 32mm socket for the front crank nut.
Can anyone advise who Riders Hill used to do their machine work or one of their mechanics who may still do engine rebuilds on the side?
Bike is currently located here in North Ga.
Any help/recommendations will be greatly appreciated
