Arlette Motorcycle Sales - Frans de Weers
« on: August 25, 2026, 10:43:21 PM »
Arlette was a Texas based Guzzi dealership owned and operated by Frans de Weers and his wife Susan, both well known among the MGNOC crowd years ago. Securing a deal with Agostini in Mandello, Arlette somewhat rebranded several of the items in the Agostini catalog and made one of their own - some of that illustrated in the B&W attachment. There's currently an Arlette Le Mans 850 FS on eBay (shown) and not surprisingly, the bike is located in Texas.

I never connected with Frans, but would like to and see if more material on Arlette is available. Does anyone here know where they are today?

Thanks in advance!

Remember them well, bought stuff from them years ago. Have no idea where or what happened to them. I have thrown out all the literature long time ago. I was farming then, no one had accessories but them and Dales Cycle in Rock Island, IL Good Luck.

I'm curious as all heck about this one. Did Arlette build specials? Race like my local dealer used to back in the day? Could be a great story!

IIRC, they just imported and sold "special" parts from Europe.
