1400 Demand Sensor Throttle Position Sensor Rubber Grommet
« on: September 15, 2026, 11:48:29 PM »
The Demand Sensor / Throttle Position Sensor for the 1400's with throttle cables is under item number B044414. There's a rubber grommet/spacer that's needed but it doesn't come with a new Demand Sensor. The rubber grommet helps to secure the two throttle cables into the center of the Demand Sensor as well as keep out water and debris. I wasn't able to find this grommet in any of the parts books I looked at, 2014 to 2016 Cal Tourer and Eldorado.

Typically, the old one can be used. But, I'd rather have a new one on hand since I have a new Demand Sensor on hand. If you need one as well, the rubber grommet / 'Rubber Top' is under Aprilia part number: 854811 and retails for $3.46.

When mine comes in I'll post a picture of it and where it goes onto the Demand Sensor.

Here are the pictures of the ‘Rubber Top’ seal (854811) as well as where it goes under the metal bracket on the Demand Sensor (B044414). The ‘oval’ that’s shaped into one side of the rubber seal is made to fit into the Demand Sensor itself. The ‘well’ that’s shaped on the other side of the rubber seal is formed to receive the throttle cables.
