Poll for Moto Guzzi Owners - Where do you live?
« on: September 27, 2026, 05:42:10 PM »
I'll go first.  Suburban Kailua-Kona, HI.  11K sq ft. lot.  Neighbors on three sides.  Takes about 3 minutes to hit a highway out into open state land.

My Cal 1400T is in Phoenix, AZ.  It takes 5 minutes to hit a highway then 15 minutes to get out of town at highway speeds.  However it takes 12 minutes to get to South Mountain Park with an Alpine type road to the summit.   :thumb:

From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.

Central KS in a small town. As of last Deptember we are living in a multi-level retirement community in half of a duplex, however our part is nearly 2,000 sq. ft. with an oversized two car garage and a small stocked lake right off our backyard. Except for lack of curves (I know where to find a few not all that far away) riding is great with nice roads and little traffic. Have two motorcycle museums within an hour ride.

Northern part of the lower peninsula in Michigan.  Way to many tourists in the summer but otherwise a small town area.  Getting to the point where I don't ride much anymore but still have that strong pull for the open road!

A small village in South West Devon on the coast, population 4455 according to the last census! So its suburbia, sort of, but a 2 minute walk to farms and fields etc, and a 10 minute walk downhill to the sea. The sea...the sea.....like the Elves it calls to me.

I would say somewhere between suburban and city, since we live at the outskirts of the city.

I think the latest population estimate for my city is around 82k. If I ride just a few minutes to the west the buildings become sparse and I'm climbing up an incredible canyon road that will take me to Rocky Mountain National Park. Ride a bit longer but to the east, and I intercept I-25 and can set my sights on Cheyenne, WY or Denver, CO.

Previously, I lived in places with populations of around 9k, 24k, 100k, and 2.5M. I'm just as much at home riding here in the mountains as I am in downtown Chicago, though I much prefer legal lane filtering!

We live in the driftless area in Wisconsin on the east bank of the Mississippi. I like the paved back roads back in the hills and valleys mostly first and second gear , tight and twisted with third gear spurts up eight percent grades. Have to be good at playing dodge deer though.

Some where down the road from red stripeguz in Cedar Park.

AF1 is just far enough into traffic hell to keep me from buying more bikes.

Some great roads just a few minutes west and I'm always hunting more. Saturday morning is usually ride time on the 21 V7, then garage time tinkering on the Ambassador. Let's ride!

I live about 5 miles from the intersection of I-85 & I-26 in Boiling Springs, SC, just north of Spartanburg, SC.

We used to be on the edge of people and liked it that way.  Now development is quickly swallowing up everything empty around here.

Rural northern WV off a one lane gravel road on about 10 acres of open the rest all wooded with trails to walk and ride the SXS on. No neighbors in sight. 6 miles to a small town with no traffic light but a gas station, Dollar Store, butcher shop, farm store, and grade school. The area is hilly with mostly small, unlined paved as well as gravel/dirt roads. 2 miles north to PA, 6 miles south to I-68, about 10 miles east to western MD.

Central NC, Piedmont Triad. 20 years ago I was in the county but now the entire areas cities have grown to the point of the boundaries touching. Now it’s a metropolis.
That being acknowledged I’m 2 hours from some of the most beautiful mountains in the world, Great Smokey mountains and 31/2 hours from the ocean, north and South Carolina.

Would be cool to have a map with pins for those interested in sharing their locations sticky’ed. Could even use it as a resource for folks when traveling for meeting up, requesting help, etc.

Wow, British Columbia's Sunshine Coast! I live close to a ferry and 30 kilometers from town, definite rural. Right near the water and we love it here, 32 lakes and an ocean to fish when I am not burning the rubber off, which is possible most of the year with good rubber and heated gear. The last time that it snowed, I swept the stairs and it was gone the next day!

Taking Love where you live to a whole new level, no, but when we come home it has been missed!

Marietta/Kennesaw, Georgia. Born and raised in Washington State, 18 miles from Victoria, BC, however the military sent me to Georgia. We like it so much that we retired here. I leave the driveway and head north, and it's motorcycle heaven. Three Guzzi dealers in the area. Life is good. Only down side is that it takes so long to get to the Rockies.
