Post ampuation Update
« on: September 29, 2026, 11:45:15 AM »
Well since I can't shift with my left leg anymore, I have had to make some changes to the stable.  I sold my 1400 Califonia Touring,a 1973 Eldorado 850 (that one broke my heart), a 86 Yamaha Fazer, and a 1981 Hone CX500. Duing this 3 1/2 year journey and 8 surgeries I picked up a n 09 Vespa GTS 250ie just for the utility to be able to ride in a boot or cast, in the mantime I fell in love with it. Plenty capable of 70 mph, rock solid even on the expressway.  I was visting with my family at Cadre Cycle and looking at a 2027 Vespa GTS 310 Super Sport, while there Enzo mentioned that he had a Convert from the same friend that passed away that I got the Eldo from.  So we made a swap, I still have a piece of my dear friend Kenny, and now I have a 1000cc automatic which solves my motorcycle riding.  I also picked up an 2027 Vespa 310 as well. So we are solidly back on two wheels, yay !!

Deb still have her Triumph Tiger, 2014 V7 Special, Honda Trail 125 and now my 09 Vespa, So she wins

Glad you're still on the road and have a matching scoot to ride with your wife. There are hand shifters available for that Honda Trail 125 if you ever need to borrow it from her ;)

That new scooter sure is sharp. I check out Vespas on a fairly regular basis. I have yet to see that one.

That’s awesome. The Vert found you. Another success story, that’s seems perfect. Here’s to your first 100,000 miles!

Not to be forward but did you have a below the knee or above the knee amputation? One of my ex-girfriends had a below the knee amputation.

Glad you landed on your feet, (foot?) with that Convert.
(No offense meant, and I sincerely hope none taken.)

That Convert looks as nice as Nick's recent find.  :thumb:

Lotsa happy miles ahead on that rig for ya. :thumb:
