In the 70's I worked in Alaska with a guy by the name of Nunzio Falco.

I've always thought that was the coolest name, so, I have it as a user name ......Alan

Mine has two sources for inspiration;  1) been to the gates of Hell and back several times with the Army 2) the name of my favorite Rossignol telemark skis so I repurposed the name.

used to race moto cross and flat track…
In the Magazine "Dirt Bike" the coin or used the phrase "WFO"

Which stands of "Wide F'n Open" grapped it in the 70"s ..it stuck.

My Old signature was "Life in the on-coming lane"

I think Super Hunky coined that in the 60s.  ;D  I've practice his famous "flying W" getoff more than once.. ;D ;D

It wouldn't have a few years ago, but the worldwide interweb has united us.

Well, the only reason I'm here is because I bought a Guzzi, and the only reason I bought that Guzzi is because it told me to!  My Griso has been talking to me since the very first ride.  I guess I'm just a good listener.

Although on the last outing it just said "Shut up and ride..."

Well getting advice from this end, first bike in 20 years and first Guzzi so I am on a steep learning curve.

When I was 15 my dad and I were fixing up a honda CL 160 for him, while he was negoiating with the shop owner for some parts we needed I was looking around the storage area and found a 1953 NSU 250 Max. Long story short, about six months later, I came home from school and it was setting on our patio. All these years later I still have it. Easily one of my most treasured bikes.

It was 1996 and I was trying for my first Hotmail address. Every possible variant of my name was taken, and I get getting rejected as I tried "Norman123...NormanS tormin...NormanNorm an..." Finally normzone was accepted and I never looked back.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

My first bike's suspension was a little sacked out. If I wasn't careful when loaded up w luggage (most of the time) it would fall over when on it's side stand. Also I wrecked on that side.

v7john. Back in the late 70's I belonged to a local biker group. No one ever used their real name and many nicknames referred to the bike they had. Mine was a V7Sport and I'm John. My brother was "massive beezer". His BSA was only a 250 but he was, well, massive.

Nothing to do with bikes but a local policeman here is called "Thrombosis" by his colleagues because he's a slow moving clot. Best nickname I've heard.

Lotta odd given names in my family too.  "Lannis" being one - others are Minifee, Filmore, Rixey, Eldred, Cloninger, Allie-Lee, and great-grandpa Amzi ....

Don't think so.   They were always "Church of the Brethren".    Amzi Weimer was of "Pennsylvania Dutch" extraction whose family migrated down from Pennsylvania to West Virginia, where he was born, then he came to Remington, Virginia and farmed, and ran the "Cozy Corner" restaurant there until the 1950s ....

Amsey is a fairly common name among the Mennonites around here.

I like Orangejello, kinda reminiscent of Jello Biafra. One of my closest friends is named Dorcas Cornelia.

My 7th grade geometry teacher was a cute young woman named Dorcas Hughes.  As I remember, she was married.  I wonder...

You blokes have made me recall my grandfather's third given name, which was Withiel. Now that I've done that, I'm going to have to google it, although I remember they were tin miners from Cornwall in the mid 19th century.
