This is a long time from now.  I don't even have my 2017 calendar yet.  Also, the rally is about 700 miles from me, so that means two days in each direction and the weather that time of year can be really questionable.

However, I will put it on my calendar and see how things work out.  Had a great time at the recent Okie Rally and would expect the same good time at this one.  Would look forward to seeing all of you again.

I always knew I'd get old.  How fast it happened was a bit of a surprise, though.

Heck the museum visit alone was worth $25.  So, if spending $25 for a meal that includes catfish and two nights camping with facilities is bad news, I can hardly wait to get the good news :thumb:

I'll put it on my radar screen again.

Luap is referring to the Cedar Vale museum , maybe the coolest small town museum ever  :thumb:

The city is putting together a tour package that includes travelling a few miles down a gravel road. The mayor asked if we were the kind of riders that minded getting their bikes dirty , then started laughing when she remembered seeing some of our bikes before

When the leader of the pack is named Dusty...I'm pretty sure there will be some dirty bikes...shoot, Prescott and I came in on a shortcut that night across about 10 miles of dirt back roads at dusk...nothing hard to manage by any means.

Now the tricky question...bring the Scura or the Norge to Seadur Veil (this was Prescott's idea!).

Trust me , I am just the cook , and while we would all love to see the Scura , something tells me the pillion might not enjoy 480 miles of it .

For those of you who are disappointed that an official National has not been scheduled for 2017 , consider attending our little gathering in Cedar Vale . A couple of members here that have made plans for coming have suggested they will consider this event their national for the year . Plenty of room for hundreds . Details above . Lots to see and do in the area .

Sorry , one more update . Chuckie has suggested we move the dates into the middle of May to accommodate the Northern folks . CV was only ever meant to be a small regional gathering , and so late April was when it fit . However , if there is enough interest , and we hear of this in the next few days , we will move the dates . Thanks .

My only concern with moving it to mid May is that just  a couple two or three weeks later will be the Kansas MGNOC rally. Kind of don't want to see one possibly distract from another.

Doesn't affect me one way or the other. I'll wimp out and put the AeroLario in the van and hit the slab. It *might* affect guys like Bill or people coming from the other coast, especially NE.

As we all learned in 3rd grade, the gravity center of the contiguous United States is 39 degrees, 50 feet, North and 98 degrees, 35 feet West.

Where is that precisely?  Who really cares???

Bottom line, that mythical spot is about 270 miles north of real live, non-mythical Cedar Vail, Kansas (a/k/a Seadur Veil).

Which is "close enough" for gubmint or Guzzi work.  Our Northern Guzzi riders can just hang onto the bars for another 3 hours.

Folks, Dusty tells me we have essentially unlimited camping space.   An enormous pavilion featuring Old World craftsmanship.

I'm in.   Who else wants to join us at Seder Veil, Kansas?  (A/K/A "Seedar Vale" on some maps)

And same weekend as the MotoGP in Austin, which is where I will be.
The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!
