My Griso has finally gotten it's new clutch master cylinder and I will be picking it up tomorrow.  So it's gonna get the chore of hauling the camping gear to Cedar Vale for me. Unless something else happens to it, the BMW and Yamahas can stay home.

NO, the big Ya-Ma-Ha, as Maverick, Rossi and Jarvis pronounce it. The Greaso will have to prove itself to me before it gets to go too far from the barn.

ggggeeeziz,,,,,,,you're gonna ride that big thang to COTA?   :undecided:  Just take the interstate and I'll meet you there later that night taking the back roads.   :embarassed:  Lucky the Hill Country is sweepers and not too tight.   :whip2:

Of course, I might not ride that Guzzi either.  I'd be afraid  if  clutch would go out or if I caught a deer.

See ya in Austin, leave the light on for me.  I'll be there late.

Poor bastages, lol.

 Actually they have a couple of events that draw a larger one day crowd , but since we are in town for four days we have an impact on the local economy . The goal is to bring about 120 people to Cedar Vale this year between the two rallies , the two groups have rented out several rooms at the small lodge , and two of the houses that rent out for visitors . The liquor store owner told us we made his month twice last year
The bathroom fund is nearing $2,000.00 of the 3 needed , all but maybe $200.00 from the other group , kinda hoping the Guzzi family will kick a few bucks towards paint for the pavilion , $100.00 will buy a lot of paint at a contractor's discount . Preserving and improving Hewins Park seems a worthy goal considering how wonderful a location it is for motorcycle rallies and how well we are treated by Cedar Vale .

Would like to say how much we appreciate the generosity shown by the Guzzi family and the ADV group that comes in Sept . You guys and gals are simply the best

It looks like I'll be there. I was concerned that a planned tour of the Northern Rockies would conflict, but we (me and silent forum member, BrineyJim) can stop while heading home to Waldheim. Thanks to all who contribute to setting this up. Last year's rally was fun from start to finish. This time I'll bring some items for the auction...

I remember the first CV. I had only been on the WG site  for a short time and I had just the year before started working (flying) outside the USA.

Mr.. Turner posted that he was going to be in CV for the weekend.

I was headed to CA from AR and thought it would be a good thing to stop there and meet some folks from the WG site.

What a ragtag group we were...

Its a beautiful park and a real piece of middle America small town...WOW...

Fubar used his old convert to pull this damn heavy picnic table over to the fire pit and the 6 ? of  stayed up to the wee hours talking around that table...

That started it off and Mr. T has built it into something....

I encourage everybody to come that can...I usually have to come 6,000+ miles but try and schedule that month to be in the states (sometimes a bit tough).

I hope to be there...

:-)

Yep , the Cedar Vale 6 , Doug , John , Tim , Mike , Tom and Dusty have become legends , along with Michael D and Dave S who only came for a couple of hours . Honestly I never thought anyone would show up for the first Cedar Vale event in 2013 , or that there would be a 2nd one . Now we are nearing the 7th annual event , which is kind of amazing . The idea that people will travel 1,500 miles to camp and hangout in a park in the middle of very rural Kansas , and continue coming back still stuns me sometimes .

Thanks for the memories Mike , I remember John saying he had made some friends for life after the first event , and how right he was . Gawd I love you guys , and everyone else who has made the trip .
