Step two completed, bike delivered to my place today by FUBAR. Took just a mile ride but runs great, brakes great, feel great, rides like a Guzzi! High first gear compared to a Norge. Has nice bag liners, Givi top case mount but no top case.
Marley thoroughly inspected and passed it since he didn't pee on the tires. :thumb: This is a nice bike folks.

Just some gratuitous pictures of the lovely raffle bike .

Marley gave his approval of the raffle bike after a though sniff inspection. The good sign was that he never felt a need to pee on the tires.

Just a reminder to clear out the closet and bring that thing you bought 5 years ago and haven't looked at since . We will auction it off to someone who will take it home and stick it in their closet  Plus , it gives Smithswede and whoever we coerce into being his assistant (Beaver , Kirby ?) something to do on Sat eve .

One of my favorite things about the Cedar Vale rally is the generosity the town folks show by bringing out a wide selection of certified emotional support animals for us wayward motorcyclists.

Dusty, when does the animal registration open?

I missed the deadline last time, and got there so late that all you had left was the turtle.

Due to a high # of requests in prior years, we are proud to announce that there will be an "Adopt a Porcupine for 1 night" program for the tent dwellers available on Saturday night.

Prescott...if you'd like to be the first participant in the program, I'll move you to the top of the list, will even be accompanied by your usual aromatherapy program that is reserved for the "Rent a Skunk" program!

I doubt Slicer is needed as Beaver has dealt with Tex successfully for how many years? She may not look intimidating but I don't want to explore her dark side.

I'll bring my trailer (like I did at the AHRMA at Road America).  What would you want me to stock so far a drinks?  (Donations appreciated)

The park is away from the town residents, so you shouldn't get into to much trouble unless you get out the fireworks or firearms.

We're not camping, but I'll have cash in hand for a cold beer at the rally site, likewise for a couple of buddies in tow.  I'll Paypal in advance if you like, just let me know.  Cheap stuff is fine, other than Busch Light.  I do have some standards.

PBR is the "official beer" for Guzzi rallies.  There are exceptions, such as Mr Chuck who prefers some fru fru varieties. Certainly there are outliers to the rule.

Don't be bullied into drinking this "water".  Some of us do appreciate a good Trappiste beer too, not just Colorado Coolade!

Of course, you can bring it yourself or buy from the local market, but as far as I know, there's no one actually selling beer at the rally, unless we are going to adopt the Wisconsin trailer concept with FREE beer!

We need to have a little discussion about a couple of slightly confusing things .

First , the town 30 miles West of Cedar Vale on 166 is pronounced Ar Kansas City , we are in Kansas after all . Same with the river , in Kansas it is the
Ar Kansas River .

Second There isn't a bar in town , although the liquor store is not bad , Red Door Spirits , phone number 620 758 5050 . He takes special orders , give him a call . The C store beer is 3.2 , and Corona is considered some exotic foreign stuff .

Third , unless you are within 30 miles of Cedar Vale , asking a Kansan where the village is will get you a blank stare .

Fourth , the bathroom doors in Hewins Park can be opened from the inside without being unlocked , so when you close the door it will be locked , and while John Henry will be in charge of the key , after about the third request for the key , he will swear and be damned he has no idea what you are asking , "Key , what key , no idea what you are talking about ?"

Last, and this is important , the WG National is not in Cherry Vale , Seedar Veil , Cider Ville , Cedarvale , Cedar Veil , or Cheddarville .

                                                                                            The rally is in

                                                                                      C E D A R  V A L E  KANSAS

                                                                                           Cedar Vale Kansas

Pretty sure the c-store beer should be 5.0, by now. Kansas did away with 3.2 altogether, last year.

Don't fret about that three-two beer.... it's 3.2% by weight
That equates to 4.0% Alcohol By Volume (ABV).
Many of those light beers are 4% ABV already.

It's a long story.

 Dave's not here .

More accurately , there are 3 Daves involved , which of course is confusing if you are unaware of of that fact . There is Dave who owns Cedar Creek Lodge who most likely won't answer the phone but will leave a key in the room for you . Then there is the Dave who is the Mr Fixit in Cedar Vale , normally referred to as David for clarity. Then there is the Dave who belongs to WG and lives in Galveston and is the Dave in question . Our Dave wants to know how many of us will be in Hewins Park Thursday. Confused yet ?

Dusty, my friend Phil Schreck from Tulsa will be there, staying with me in the Cedar Creek Lodge. Please add his name to the list, thanks! I suggested to him that he order a t-shirt and buy a raffle ticket. He has V7III Racer that I assume he'll ride to the rally. Oh, Dusty, Phil paid last year!
