It's coming down like crazy down in southeast Kansas. Luckily, the ground is warm enough that none of it is accumulating.

 Yeah , and it will be in the 70's again by Saturday . In 2019 we had 90 degrees in February , 50 degrees in April

Is anybody from the Tennessee general area riding out to Cedar Vale Kansas for this?  I would have to re-schedule my second - shot for a few days later, but I might be able to ride out for it.  Schedule still pending but I should know by tomorrow (21 Apr).  Is it too late to get added to the list if I can go??

 Not sure if anyone else is coming from Tennessee , so far no one from there has spoken up . NCdan is attempting to make the trip , but will be driving.

 If you decide to come Bob we will certainly welcome you .

 Have updated the first post .

 The C store is temporarily closed , no idea if it will be open when we arrive . The gas pumps are working so if we need gasoline it is available . No idea if Shawne is answering the phone for lodging as she is out of town apparently .

 Dave at the Lodge will have at least one room ready in a house he is setting up , the bathroom is functioning . I listed his cell number , if he doesn't answer leave a message , tell him you are with me . The small lodge is already full up .

 Remember , this is Cedar Vale , doing business there is different than in a regular town , they will make room for us as it were .

I will be going.  I put my check in the mail for one person, camping, and an Xtra large sized tshirt if they are still available.  I am looking forward to the trip and the rally.  Hoping to arrive Wednesday, around 6:00pm or so.  Thats if everything goes smoothly!   Bob

 We probably need to have some emergency contact info available . My phone doesn't work in Cedar Vale , but someone will have internet , if you have a problem while traveling and we can help , post it in the thread with a contact number . I normally ask someone to check the thread every 30 minutes or so until everyone is accounted for . The number for city hall is 620 758 2244 , the grocery store number is 620 758 5090 . Don't be afraid to call either number , just tell them who you are with , everyone at both numbers knows me and will send someone to the park .

For this purpose and on this forum, absolutely. On any other forum, I would be far more hesitant, but I don't anticipate any problems from this. Gonna be that way one day, anyways.

 Bob , the lodge owner did say he might have a place ready , although I wouldn't count on it . Hewins Park is great for camping , the ground is level and there are no rocks at the surface .
