New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Big John, I looked around the map there... I don't see any place to get Miller Lite...LOL...Rudy called and is not going to be able to make it. His excuse for backing out is legitimate...We will ride together again... So if I make it, I will be solo...Walker
Don't dispair El-Stevo I just iced down a pony keg of Newcastle, we can get miller if you need to ;D
Right now the wife and I are planning to ride up Friday after I get off work. Should get there around 7. Save us a good camp spot!
The weather forecast is, in a word ...FABULOUS , MOST PLEASING , BEAUTIFUL , VERY PLEASANT ! Take your pick . Slight chance of rain , mid 70s , light winds , told everyone we would have good weather :DI would like to make an observation re rallies/camp outs . My two local buddies both have the time and money to attend , and claim they would like to come . However , both of them have come up with several excuses as to why they can't . I have decided the truth is that neither one really "WANTS" to come , simply afraid to leave the comforts of home . Sad really , both are much younger than me , and act like two old men . Oh well , won't ask them anymore if they want to have fun , guess the television provides better entertainment than riding MCs and hanging out with good folks . Sorry for the rambling , but there is a point . I am very grateful to have found a group of people who refuse to get old , preferring to get out and experience some life :bow Thanks folks , see you all tomorrow .Dusty
Red and I should be there mid-day tomorrow. Saturday. We'll be driving the Suburban, but may have a bike on the Versa-Haul. We'll see.Red has a surprise for the two birthday boys, Dusty and Lowryter... :food
Am I the first one home? ???
Maybe 2nd... I took a different route home... 99 south to 60 east, then 49/71 south to me house. Rolled in at 1:15pm... Good ride...no rain and some wind... And for those that worry... averaged 38 mpg...LOL...Walker
Arrived home around 2pm.A couple pix from last night of me with the birthday boys and the cake:
I got home at 1100. Then got repacked to go my mom's for Easter and family Birthdays. Lots of travel.Dusty the food was great. I had two of those monster hushpuppies. When I shook Stormtruck's hand, lightning flashed across the sky; I think the space-time continuum farted- at least that's how scientists describe it. Fubar's description of the IRS was an eye opener. Great to see Steve's new 1400. Doug carried on with KP. I mooched some great scotch & cigar from ST. Marcia, special thanks for the cake. What a surprise and great artwork.A great time was had by all.
Yes, a great time. ;-T I think all topics were thoroughly discussed and all problems solved around the (excellent!) campfire. Many, many thanks to Doug (master of planning and organizing) and Dusty for the food, firewood and legwork to make this possible. It was nice to meet folks I hadn't yet had the opportunity to, and even better to find out they're all nuts! Very honorable mention goes out to Guzzistajohn for the fine music he provided via whatever that newfangled gadget was, and to FUBARGUZZI for a very entertaining story at the campfire. And Mike (kirby1923) is an Ironman. Well done, sir! Thanks all....I had fun. Terry p.s. Got home around 12:45 The Falcon returned 33 mpg!
Main thing that needs to happen is that it is moved past Easter.. My thoughts.
