New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Righto, so if I interpret all this correctly, should I decide to purchase the 1200 sport demo bike that my Melbourne dealer now has for sale as my "keeper bike", there is a real chance that it will destroy its own cams? And guzzi have never found a definitive fix? But maybe Australian conditions reduces the likelihood of it happening? And even if I bought a brand new 2013 model, it still has the problematic flat tappet heads? I don't know what to make of it all, tbh.
So here we have another Internet rumour that has now become an accepted 'Fact'. Brilliant. Like so much of the other stuff promulgated by whoever is responsible for Guzzi in the UK it just sounds like another load of poorly thought out waffle from clowns who haven't got a clue?I'm sorry, I've been in Sydney for the last couple of days at the Oz importer. I asked about tappet failures on 8V's. Since the initial batch of failures and certainly since 2011 it seems that with the exception of one Norge the number of failures can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Well, sorry. F#ck you! FORZA Guzzi. The future doesn't lie with outdated designs owned by bitter little inadequates.Pete
My 2 valve brain is having a hard time understanding what is being said. Are we saying:1. You should be wary of buying an early 4 valve motor w/flat tappets?2. You should be wary of buying any 4 valve motor?3. If you convert an early bike to rollers you are ok?I need some "easy to understand" guidance on 4 valve Guzzi's.Mike
In other words, you sold your Griso just in time.
