Putting Bitubo shocks on the V7 Stone

Has anyone tried to put the Bitubo shocks onto a V7 Stone?
Once again, the dealership wasn't too helpful when I asked if the shocks were comparable with the rear luggage rack. Doesn't look as though they'll even fit with the stock hand rails...

If they foul the luggage rack you can always mount them upside down. That's the only way they fitted on my Breva. Downside is that preload adjustment requires muffler removal to get access for the C-Spanner.

Or rotated 180 deg. around the long axis such that the adjustment is toward the front of the bike...
Though there might be interference with the side cover or passenger peg support?

Isn't there an offset on the shock mounts?  What I'm saying is that the shocks have to have the mount offset from centerline, like this:


This also shows how RaceTech tried to create more clearance between my shock and the rack....still did not clear enough.  Now they are inverting the shocks but had to install an offset for what will  now be the top.  I'll post a photo when the 'improved version' arrives.
