I have fond memories of the 2013 Not a rally and beating out Lannis to the last Guzzi in Denver forcing him to ride a scooter

Have a good dinner in Denver.  Gail and I will leave Longmont around 9:30 am and loaf our way out 285 and south from Pine Junction. KOA around 2 pm perhaps.

So are you guys having fun , I understand the area is swarming with mountain bikers .

  Dusty

Dusty,

The lack of humidity and cool temps is nearly unbearable for a Missouri boy. The bike riders really havnt been a problem went to see the wolves yesterday. Probably ride the peak today.

Arrived at the finish 0330 after a day beautiful and brutal Colorado mountain riding. The Sport 1100 held together great. I held together pretty good, to.

Nice bunch of Guzzisti at the KOA. Limited Internet means pics will come later.

And a very good thing you did too!   If I had beat YOU to that "last Guzzi" and had to go through what YOU did with it, using MY patience and electrical skills, I'd have kicked it over and set it on fire .... !

I enjoyed it too, hope to do another someday .....

Great time in Cripple Creek and Victor, in perfect weather. I counted eight Guzzis at the KOA. Gail and I headed home this morning at 10am, broke for lunch at Morrison and arrived home in good order before 2pm.  Thanks to Mike and Mike, Tim and John, Scott, Dennis etc for good talk and sane riding.

I didn't take a lot of photos but Rocker59 did. Here are a few of mine:

John is so amiable that it's impossible to rag him. Just as I found it impossible to tease Lannis about his plastic Honda at Ouray.

We're secure in our motorcycling masculinity .... !    Man, I was RIDING; how can I be teased about something I feel GOOD about?

Now if I feel "guilty" about something, the teasing will work, and work well .....

Red and I arrived home at 10pm tonight, after a 13-hour drive from Cripple Creek.

Great weekend in Colorado!  Rain on Thursday, but perfect weather since.

Mile High Guzzi and I successfully completed the Colorado Classic 1000 on Saturday.  He on his 1200 Sport.  Me on my Sport 1100.

Two groups of four successfully assaulted Pikes Peak on Monday.

Good riding, good food, good campfire time with some great Guzzisti !!!

I think we had 12 people with nine Guzzis and one Triumph.

I've got hundreds of photos to go through and upload to Smugmug, but will update this thread as soon as I can.

I guess I need to check in here more than every few months.  This event sounds like it would have been a better time than the BMW rally that I attended.  And close to home...    Will keep my open and ears open to see if it happens next year.

I'm on an every-other-year schedule for the WildGuzzi Western Adventure, so we'll probably be doing this again somewhere in Colorado or New Mexico in June 2017, if all goes well.

But, talk to Archangel about the Paonia "Top of the Rockies" rally that's coming up.  He is working on putting together a Guzzi presence there, and it sounds like a good time.
