Space for Rent (no snow content)
« on: February 09, 2015, 09:10:51 PM »
Heard where Boston got another couple feet of snow today.  The reporter commented that the amount of the white stuff removed from Boston Streets would fill Gillette Stadium more than 91 times.

Up here we got snow last week.  A very unenthusiastic attempt that did not accumulate, kinda like the Tampa Bay Bucs.  This has been the winter pattern for most of the state.  As a result, we got a lot of snow storage space to rent -- 663,268 square miles of it.  And we have a population as desperately in need of a good mush as you are in need of a good ride.

To address this inequity, I have been appointed to head up the effort to bring you all relief.  So if any of you folks in the plow zone are overwhelmed, overloaded, or just plain tired of it, send your surplus snow in a self-addressed, stamped envelope to me along with your full name, address, mother's maiden name, SSN, bank routing number, and $5 cash for handling.  Save 50% in Feb. by using your fax or shipping via internet.  Hurry, limited time offer.  Restrictions may apply.  Offer not valid in California.

Well, we had some pretty torrential downpours here in NorCal yesterday, and NHRA at Pomona had some minor glitches due to weather in the southland over the weekend, but we desperately need snow in the Sierra Nevada as that's where the tap water comes from for most of the state. So send away!

You folks best hurry.  I can't offer this deal forever, and space is filling fast.  At this pace we'll be full by mid July, and then you'll be out of luck.

Oh -- and I've made enough to buy a 3D printer, so hopefully starting next week I can accept your snow by email.  There will be a convenience fee for 3D printing.

I would take that offer but have found that shipping anything to your zip to be prohibitively expensive. Whats up with that?

Just trying to solve a problem and increase my revenue stream at the same time.  So far the response has been about what I expected.   ;-T

I specified white, although for a nominal fee we can sort colors.

We have fer'real pink snow up here.  There's some some sort of microscopic ice critter that likes to eat snow and 'blooms' like algae in it, turning big patches a soft pink.

I'll be darned. Never have heard of that one. There's some strange critters that live there, for sure.  ;D

As this article confirms, your efforts are making a difference.  Like a city girl needs a cell phone, the city, girl, needs snow.  Thanks for your business, and keep it coming!

http://www.adn.com/article/20150211/anchorage-snowfall-so-far-winter-second-lowest-record

The 3D printer is here, so you can use the email option.  Just attach the file in any popular CAD format and we'll print the snow here.  This should cut down on the freight charges and speed up the shipping.  Remember there's a fee for 3D printing, but you still save over shipping in the long run.

Oh -- and because of my success, I've successfully head-hunted a Comedy Central employee to take over management and PR of the enterprise.  You heard the announcement on the news, so you know it's true.   ::)
