thinking of selling my 2004 Nero Corsa... added fresh pics.
« on: February 10, 2015, 04:23:40 PM »
The end of last year, I picked up my Nero Corsa from Mike. Good fair deal and was well aware of all issues.
I do 99% of all of my own work but with how nice this bike was, I thought I would let Jim at Rose Farm do the clutch.
I tend to scratch things.........
Meanwhile, I went to Santa Monica and Todd Eagan reflashed my Breva ECU and did the Corsa that I had brought with. Got back and dropped it off with Jim.
Clutch plate rivets were loose which explained the rattlely noise of the clutch. Jim also went through the drive line, pulled the driveshaft, serviced it, etc. Then with the reflashed ECU, Jim set up the rest of the injection, sync, TPS, etc.
This was in early January when it was all done. Bike rode and felt perfectly flawless. Just heavenly. I installed some heated grips, left the HB side brackets on but removed the trunk bracket set-up. Then picked up some mint HB 40l Moto Guzzi bags from HOSS which were in great shape.
Then a few windfalls and I just ordered up a 2 pc Aerostich stealth roadcrafter, that pricey jacket liner and all of the controls for two bikes.
And for those that saw, just bought the Ti official Guzzi exhaust with ECU, brand new.
Kudos to Jim at Rose Farm for a job well done and to Todd for my 5th perfect ECU reflash from him.
Life is good.......

Wow!

Now don't you let this Aerostich, heated grip, and "mint" equipment soften you up any .... !!!  We're depending on you!

I forgot to add that I ordered the Guzzi service thing for lifting the bike up to change the rear tire and a spare windscreen from Rose Farm. The windscreen will most likely see some action from my cordless drill.......

Seconded. They look, sound, and run great, plus, you can mount 'em low enough to also bave saddlebags. I love them on the Coppa Ductapio.

Glad its coming together for you!

With that work done, it should be a great bike for you, for a long time.

Can't wait to see it in action on The Dragon this spring!   :bike

Put on the bags from HOSS and the Ti race exhaust from Gregg.
Now if that salt will get off the streets!

I thought the factory-issue Titanium mufflers all had the Guzzi logo on the side.  I don't see that in the picture.

Chuck, I assume you still have the character dent in one of your mufflers? I was there and I still remember when that happened. Perhaps I've already told you that story.

My Roadcrafter two-piece has been the best piece of MC equipment I've ever purchased...even though it took a couple of years to break in.

Love the Corsa, will this spoil the Tonti experience?

Maybe he swapped the cans side-to-side, so the logos are turned in.

Sort of like what you'd do with a set of whitewalls, if you didn't want to be too ostentatious.

I had a set of Mistral Ti pipes on my Rosso. Nice looking but they dented in a blink, and I couldn't tell the sound difference between the Mistrals and the ones Guzzi marketed as I suspected they were made by Mistral.

I was told these were from the last batch that Guzzi shipped to Moto Intl. This is from who Gregg bought them from years back.

I bought this bike the end of last year and it needed a clutch and had some FI glitches.
The bike was really clean and I can fix most anything but I tend to be a little rough on things so I had the clutch done and a few other things at Rosefarm Classics. Jim really went through the bike and it does do everything perfectly. It is a fun bike but I can't seem to really fall in love with it. I put a couple thousand miles on it since Jim did the major work but I still get a bigger thrill hopping on my EV powered 1975T.
I would want to keep the HB bags but leave the brackets on the bike. It has the Agostini crossover and the Titanium exhaust, the latter I paid dearly for but I think I would be better off putting the full stock exhaust on and selling it like that and maybe sell the exhaust separately.
The bike stock has to be worth around $4500-$5000. Not really sure.
I have two other projects that would be nice to complete if I sold this off that I know I would enjoy more. I am in the middle of installing my 98 EV motor with carbs/points into my 67 V700 with a 4 spd. Also, I have a 2003 EV hydraulic motor with cam work done that I want to put into a T-3 for a 70s style sort of sport/touring bike for work related trips.

I can attest that this has been a great motorcycle, and is a fantastic sport-touring mount.  It was mine for almost nine years...

Well, I am working in Milwaukee for the week and won't be home to get any better pictures of it until the weekend. I should get the stock exhaust on first so it's pictured as I would sell it.
I expect to lose at least half of what I put into it as far as the clutch work, etc but at least I know it is in good shape and got to experience it for a couple thousand miles.
