Pretty bike.  His asking price is about what I paid for my '13 new.....thus pretty optimistic.  Let's all hope he gets his price because that will finally show the small blocks holding a steady value in the marketplace, counter to just about any other motor vehicle.

$6000 seems reasonable to me; low miles, numerous extras… to think it cost about $10 just four years ago, tax, title, dealer prep, etc.

That's probably my favorite V7 of all. Everything called "upgrades" since is nothing worth writing home about. I like the heads a lot better on the old ones. Someone should pick that up and ride it.

2010 - 2015 is five model years.  And, in six months the 2016s will be nearing our shores.

I don't know of any Guzzis built in the last 12 or 15 years that retained more than 50% of MSRP after five years...

But hey, it doesn't hurt to ask.  Café Classic was my favorite V7 and I'd pay a little more than average for one, if I was in the market.

I owned the exact bike. Pretty bike, but I don't miss it. The ergos didn't work for me at all, but I'm taller than most.

I know that many complained of the ergos with the clip-ons and stock V7C footpegs.

Now that V7R rearsets are relatively available and affordable, it would be an easy fix.

Adding some low handlebars would be an easy change, too, since the top clamp is already drilled.

Yep, that's what caused my issues. Bent over to reach the bars, but with my knees in my face. At least it felt that way.

A very nice bike but I would lose the rear rack and the decal on the side cover. He changed the tank logo to an older one. I prefer the original silver eagle.

The Racer head covers look way nicer than the stock Cafe head covers. For a few bucks you could dress it up even more with gaiters, a fender eliminator package and a shortie front fender.

The asking price is optimistic to say the least . . . unfortunately the Cafe is fairly scarce but it doesn't seem to command a premium price.

If he gets 5,000 he is doing very well!

Considering you can buy a new, leftover '13 or '14 v7 from a dealer with warranty for that.. Hmm yes he will have to drop the price

That's why I spent the $4k to upgrade from my 2009 V7C to a 2013 V7R.

Well, the auction ended at $6,250. I consider that a very, very good sign.  To me, it says that the company is finally getting some traction out there as far as brand recognition goes. People may finally be realizing what a Moto Guzzi is and now they actually want one. With the V7s- they ain't buyin 'em because they are faster than anything else- but because they are cooler.  Big distinction.

Not to drift the thread- but I'm wondering if the expresso that Moto Guzzi is selling is the same brand as Vespa. There are plenty of scooters out there that perform well, are reliable, and cost lots less...but they ain't a Vespa. The V7 has a very unique retro look that is 100% genuine, a feel that it is made with quality bits (much like a Vespa), and can be dressed up in virtually any paint scheme (just as Vespas can be jewel like). Seems to me if you want to draw new people into the sport, this is a classy way to do it.

He didn't necessarily get $6250 for the bike.  At the top-left of the page, it says, "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."  All this means is that he ended the auction before the scheduled time.  Either the seller; (1) received an offer that he accepted (2) or he wasn't getting any action because of his listing price and decided to pull the bike.  Since it was at least the second time that it had been listed at the $6250 price, I suspect that someone made him a firm offer (less than $6250) and he decided to take the money and move on.
