So Here was the weekend. Rose and I camped down with a bunch of friends in Morgan Monroe State forest and took the guzzi to continue testing gear and packing systems. I then abandoned my wife at the campsite for Saturday and went to Moonshine, IL for the Lunch Run (
http://moonshine-run.com/Moonshine/ ). Put a total of 8'ish hours of saddle time in Saturday :) and many things happened.
Checklist:
- had a great time riding a motorcycle
- got lost a number of times on gravel roads (interesting on a 750lb + bike)
- let Craig put a cool black touring seat on the the bike at C&D Motorsports
- Decided to stop at a cool graveyard in the middle of nowhere and get the guzzi stuck in loose grave on a road that zero cars passed in 20 minutes
- Almost broke my arms rocking it backwards
- Almost dropped it a couple of times (but didn't)
- Cursed the bastard that dropped gravel in a perfect parking place without packing it down
- Covered the guzzi in mud and made my self feel better by telling myself that this kind of stuff makes for better adventures.
- Came back after above fiasco and long day and finished Camping and had a nice ride with Rose back to Indy.
Here's some pics to prove it ;) Midway through you'll see the Black touring seat magically appear on the bike.

Off-Roadin' at the first cool cemetary

Ooooo...Look a cemetery on a hill

Better place to park while looking at another cool 1800's cemetery
