Scura cold start issue

Remember, this bike sits.. a lot.. right beside the ocean. Normally on the Scura or Rosie, you turn on the switch, hold just a smidgen of throttle, punch the button, and Vroooom.
This time out, it's crank crank, hunt for just the right throttle position, hold my mouth *just*right, then it fires on one cylinder then both. Every time so far this trip out, cold start is the same. So far, I've pulled the TPS connector, relays and fuses, and spritzed them with DeOxit, same scenario.
Is this indicative of dirty injectors?
After it struggles to life, it runs normally.

Given the fact it sits for long periods my first action would be dump the fuel, scrap and replace the fuel filter and refill with fresh petrol and a dose of 'Jecter cleaner. Oh, and chuck some new plugs in it. Stale fuel, especially ethanol laced fuel, is murder on plugs.

I've run enough fuel through it already, that it ought to be fresh. I'll try new plugs, they're cheap. Injector cleaner, too. Once it gets running, it still runs like a scalded dawg. Just figured "somethin ain't rat."  ;D

All that stuff gets gooey.

Techron FI cleaner works great. My first thought is the plug wires are getting moist from being too humid. Wouldn't hurt to change those, or spritz with WD-40 to remove the moisture.

From the way it was acting, this seemed like the most logical place to start. Yep, there was black goo (technical term) on both bypass screws. SPritzed them and the seats, let it dry, but them back in, and crank..Vroom. Just like it usta be.. ;D

Yeah. The Mighty Scura is rusting and corroding. I don't *care* what happens to the Commie Thumper, and from all accounts I've read, they are fine handling machines.
