John -- what is this 'trade commission' you mention?

Rich Maund did my 06 Breva seat..   ;-T ;-T
Bill (Rocky) Mayer did my 13 Stelvio NTX seat..   ;-T ;-T

My aprilia Futura has the perfect stock seat.   I've never heard of anyone sending that seat in to get modified.   *I take that back......I bought another Futura at a local bike shop (they didn't know what they had), and it came with a "couch looking - lots of pleats" seat.   I immediately sold that one for $$$ and bought a stock seat for $.  Man I should have kept that 2nd Futura.. ::)

I think Seth Lamm did a good job on my Stelvio seat. It's about 1/2" lower than stock but a lot more comfortable. I got a little width at the rear compared to stock for added support. It feels good when I sit on it.

I'd much rather ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.

I was talking to Bill "Rocky" telling him about the discussion on Rick's failure to deliver seats, he indicated that Rick was in big trouble with the trade commission and it was hurting him due to people confusing him with Rick.

He's probably just speculating.   If the FTC is investigating Rick Mayer for problems with his advertising, it wouldn't be a very public thing and I doubt anyone would know about it.   Rocky is probably being hurt because Rick has been taking people's money and not doing the work, and the word's getting around ....

I'm still alive and have a business license.  ;) But not getting much done the past few years since becoming diabetic. Hands hurt from arthritis too. Being cared for by the VA means the condition gets neglected. I'm getting wore out. I still do a trickle of work, but mostly its the Ural stuff I have done for some years now. I lost one of my foam suppliers and can't find one particular foam I commonly need to do seats anymore.
And please don't tell me "Just get it off the internet!" I have wasted money on some really shitty foam that way. >:(

I'm thinking of letting my business license expire next year and calling it quits after 20 years in the seat business.

I have one of your seats on my 1997 Cali 1100i! I rode it from Florida to California, with one 980 mile day, and never thought about the seat! It fits me on this Guzzi well. I didn't buy the seat, my friend did when the bike was his.

It is a great seat! I am going to find someone to recover it since I managed to get a tear in the outer cover. *sigh*

I have a BMS on my Cal Special. When it was time for recovering I found a local upholstery shop who did it for 30 dollars.

I hear riding into Corbin is the way to go with them too.

California. Not Florida.
