Thanks 4 posting finally, can we now all be friends? envious ones at that.. sure looks near perfect.. put on Ebay with a 20k reserve.. we'll all get an idea of the auction value and you won't have to sell it, I don't think.. but maybe it would go over that if you offer worldwide shipping..

They went for about 5700 bucks here in Tulsa. No one wanted them. There is a famous ad offering 1000 bucks off the retail. Cycle World did a comparo with the 1000s, K75s and a third bike I can't remember. Maybe a Ducati. "This grandpa can really hustle" was one of the comments about the Guzzi, and top speeds of 140 mph were mentioned. After that article, and after they quit making them, the Guzzisti woke up and wanted them.
Yep, 1000 S (green) K75 S (purple) and 907 Paso were the bikes in that shootout.

I'm totally fine with the Mayor of BBQ's and some of the other snotty comments. I didn't start this thread to sell my 'S'. If it was a classified ad, I would have added pictures, location, and price. How can I put a price on something if I really don't know a ballpark figure to ask? THAT'S WHY I WENT TO A DISCUSSION GROUP! I'm not sure if "The Mayor" and others have realized it or not, but there haven't been very many 1000S' for sale lately and I'm trying to get an approximate value. I really thought this discussion group would be the group to ask. Sorry, my mistake. I can't go to a NADA guide and get a real value. I was just in need of some guidance. I realize that I came to the wrong place for a discussion about this Moto Guzzi. For the people that DID give me some guidance, Thank You, I really appreciate it. I think that I have my answer. Thank you everyone else for your "2 cents". Consider this thread closed.

Have A Nice Riding Season,

Pat

you too.  take it to your local Harley shop and see what they will give you on trade in.

Pat,

Apology accepted. However, I must echo the general feelings here that your bike is actually critically flawed.   It doesn't have the red suspender preload device. As such, it's only worth $5,000. I'll be a swell guy and offer you $5,250 so long as you pay for shipping.

You picked a tough crowd here, dude. Time to wake up and smell the steel cut oats.

...BTW, I may be the first one here to suggest that if you sell that bike, you will kick yourself in the nuts for doing so.  As your attorney, i would strongly suggest that you keep the green monster.

I rode w/a guy who had a red K75S and he couldn't keep up with my `81 CX100 in midrange acceleration.  ;D  We never compared top end.
