Techno research VDSTS symptom
« on: April 19, 2015, 04:32:50 PM »
I am trying to diagnose a poor running 2007 CAL Vintage. Diagnostic software taps into data stream fine till you start bike and then it disconnects and loses data stream. If you shut the bike off you can connect to data stream again till next startup. Tested software on two other bikes and operation is normal. Tried disconnecting alternator and using a remote battery for 12v power source with no success. Anyone run across this before?

I put up with that crap starting in 1998, on my Centauro. At that time, Techo research called it MSDT I think it was, then updated to VDSTS. Still the same crap, just more hundreds of dollars.
I upgraded to the FREE GuzziDiag a couple of years ago, and have no more issues like dropped connections when you start the bike.
I never did figure it why VDSTS would disconnect when the bike started. And when it is in the mood to do it, it did it non-stop.
Scientist have discovered that people will believe anything, if you first say "Scientists have discovered...."
