I began the hunt for a disc to replace the one that's bent by about .010 "

Everybody wants to sell me a pair. I'm going to continue the hunt, but please let me know if you have a source for a single.

Thanks - Norman
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

Norman, one of my Mille disks is out about 0.012".  I made some shims from brass shim stock and got it within a couple thou, and it works perfectly well.  I shimmed something like 0.008 on the worst place, and then thinner shims as it gets around to the other side, no shims on the last one.  Disks don't have to perfect in the side to side wobble direction, it's the thickness that's critical.

(opens search in Ebay, types disc+front+single+guzzi)

Spain has 'em for $277. I'm looking for stock, which may be my mistake. Just came back from a stroll through this forum six years ago, and there is much reference to aftermarkets made by Todd. The consensus seems to be that the stock disc was not designed to last forever. Add to that somebody along the way bent this one significantly - at least that's what I've been given to understand.

Well that would be amusing to try, and certainly within my price range. If I were to camp out for an afternoon at my freedive mentor's place, where there's a dial indicator on a magnetic base, I could play some games.

If yours has the round holes in the carrier they are prone to warp. I got a pair from Todd (RIP) at MPH and no issues since at three times the miles.

The Ducati 900ss from the era and monsters all from the same era use the same disks they also fit some Yamaha's but can't remember the designation, might open up your field a bit. Although you have to wonder, you want fix your brakes... cheaply!

Yep.  Search "Ducati Brembo brake rotor".  Any of the 320mm Serie Oro rotors with 6 mounting holes and 10mm offset will work.

Ducati 916/996/998.  Ducati Monster.  Ducati Supersport from 1992 through 1998 have variations of the rotor.

You might as well take the opportunity to upgrade.  The aluminum carrier / thick blade "snowflake" rotor is a nice upgrade from the OEM Guzzi part.

really... my cali 1400 had one off rotors (not an industry standard) and they were only $115 from Guzzi. Older californias use the "yamaha" standard which has been an industry standard since the 90's as stated above, and a million aftermarket or used options exist.

Well, it's a different day now, with a different cup of coffee in my hand. I'm working on wrapping my head around coming up with the money to upgrade per your counsel. I have wifely encouragement, which also helps. Last night she's all " Just fix that bike whenever it's appropriate, because that's what you should do ". I've got it good. I don't have THE MONEY right now, but I've got it good.

Sounds like fotoguzzi can hook you up with the OEM option at a good price that would satisfy your original request of just one rotor to  match the OEM.

I'm not sure what the spec is for your Guzzi, but maximum runout for my H2 discs is specified as 0.012", and it *looks* like the limit in my Guzzi manual says 0.008".   Have you run the brake system as-is to see if there's a problem?  It would probably show up as excessive lever travel.

[Triple Jim], thanks for the input. The runout manifests itself as the front end pulse diving when I use the foot brake.

I'm surprised that your red-suspender instincts haven't had you down t'local shop and have them straighten it up for you?

My Stelvio disk was out by 10 times as much as yours, and the shop trued it back up for me to within .002" for $16.50 .... ?

OK, maybe the double piston type calipers don't track runout as well as the floating single piston type.  I like Lanis' idea, if you don't feel like shimming it.
