2015 Virginia Moto Guzzi Rally
« on: May 07, 2015, 08:54:27 AM »
Just a reminder for those sitting on the fence the early cut off for reduced registration fee is 5/17.

So if you have been sitting on the fence it is now time to make the decision to save some money or not.

The event is catered and I have to give numbers on 6/13; if I do not have your registration by then you might not be fed.

Go to http://jfritzius.wix.com/vamotoguzzi to download and print off the registration form.

Hope to see you at Willville.

I fell off the fence on Monday onto your side ... check should be there soon ... ("in the mail" as the old saw says).

Might ride there straight from the National, you never know .... Although, come to think of it, a proper shower at home might be in order before I wave "Bye!  I'm off to another rally!" again.

Went to the WebPage.  I'm slow.  I was just about to give up and call when I noticed "registration form" in small letters at the top. All is right with the world.  ;-T

I finally fell off the fence. Check and registration form are going in the mail today. I'm looking forward to meeting and riding with some fellow Guzzistas.

Will we get any confirmation that our checks have been received? Mine went in the mail about a week ago but I haven't seen it clear yet. Just want to make sure it didn't get lost in the mail.

Took mine a couple weeks from the time I mailed it to the time it got to the bank.   I'm sure they go in batches as they get them ...

What's funny is that my check went through about an hour after I posted.

So, this will be my first Moto Guzzy Rally (or any motorcycle rally for that matter). What all should I expect? Are there any planned rides during the day, etc.?

I know what my experience has been and think I know what to expect, but on the website it says

Questions: Contact Kurt or Sue Nordstrom at vaguzzirally@gmail.com

and it might be good to shoot them a note, I'm sure they'll answer any questions you have.

If it's like last year, there won't be any formal planned guided rides, but some of the folks will be taking off for "favorite rides" during the day and you can hook up with someone who knows the area and have a good ride somewhere.   Everyone likes to spend their time differently at a rally; by the time I've finished chatting with folks I've wandered around to see (or have wandered over to my camp), it's Saturday dinnertime!

I will have registration forms at the Western NY rally this weekend. Some folks have had difficulties w/the form  download. So, if I receive payment w/the completed form I can accept the prereg $, a $10.00 savings on the gate price.
