OK 3 questions

First question. Will my rear drive burp lube out of the front of the swingarm if it is over full?  I have some leakage I noticed on the bottom of the transmission near where the seal is located. I cannot find any place where this leaking is coming from, and I didn't notice it until I did my first service. Definitely rear drive or tranny lube. I put a measured 1l of lube in the transmission, and I put the plug in the rear drive when it started overflowing when I filled it.

Second question. How can I get rubber that has melted to my exhaust off? It is on brushed stainless, as the new slip on's I installed do not have a heat shield, and I need to be more careful when deploying the side stand.

Third question. Anyone have a gel pad installed in the seat of their V7 Stone? I got in a 250 mile ride on Sunday, and my butt has yet to round back out.

#2, Easy-Off Cold Oven Cleaner works wonders on removing crud baked onto exhaust systems.

#3, see if you can try an Airhawk 1st, lots cheaper than a custom seat, and again, a wonder worker.

As far as the seat don't waste money on a gel. Get an airhawk. Worth every dollar.
The customer service is first rate. I had an air valve that was leaking(after MANY years
Of use)  and they sent me two different styles...at no charge.
Just a comment from a very happy customer...

I wouldn't think there would be enough volume to get to the transmission unless you filled it to the vent.  ;D

 :+1 Airhawk small pillion fits V7. Follow directions.  Do not overinflate.  Lots more comfortable than gel seat especially during Summer.

I cannot figure out where it is coming from. I am thinking it is coming from the boot on the front end of the driveshaft. I will have to investigate further.

Yep, the material was originally designed for use in wheelchairs to reduce the pressure on those confined to them. They make all shapes and sizes, and are excellent folks to deal with, with many retailers around selling them. I once broke a strap -my fault - on an old Airhawk I had bought used, and called them to ask about ordering a replacement. They sent me 2 packs of 4 straps, free of charge.

I think you are correct in this prediction. Looked at it really close, and it appears to be coming from around the clutch release shaft.  >:(
I wonder if my dealer will give me a bike to ride while this one is being repaired.

#3.  I have the LD Supracor from Spencer's (same stuff in Reebok running shoes) plus some strategic memory foam and it's as good as it gets seat wise.  He's picky on what seats he works on though so you will have to email him what you are looking for.

That LD seat looks promising. I will email him and see what he has to say.
Took my bike to the dealer, and the seal around the clutch push rod is leaking. seal has been ordered, and I will get a loaner bike to use while the repair is done. Great to have a good dealer nearby.

  The mongols had the solution to your saddle problem.  They soud put a would steak the between their saddle and their butt, or between the saddle and the horse.
 By the time they got to the campout the steak was ready to eat.  They really liked camping out a lot in between killing rampages so they knew how to prevent
 saddle sore and prepare a steak.

Regarding seat comfort, I'm experimenting with different pants.  For me it's the pants that are for the problem.

 Usually I wear baggy cargo pants. The folds of cargo pants create pressure points that are uncomfortable . I'll try switching to light flexible close fitting pants, much like woman horse riders.  But, um, not so .... attractive.

Bicycle shorts are the best!  Really.  And that's about the right price.  For touring they enable you to go longer distances, it's just that they're cumbersome for a daily jaunt or walking around.

It's all about finding a balance between on-bike comfort and off-bike comfort.
