V7 II immobiliser
« on: May 27, 2015, 10:12:43 PM »
Is the V7 II STONE fitted with an immobiliser. The BREVAs are I know but this is a different machine with different processors?

No, no immobilizer on the V7II, at least not on mine.

I've not heard of such a thing on the V7 line and SUSPECT strongly it is not because IIRC the Breva1100 (Norge/Griso/Stelvio) immobilizer system is run through the dash and the dash on the V7 II hasn't really changed from the V7 (they didn't even integrate the Traction Control and ABS lights into the dash housing, they're mounted separately on the triple-tree.

But perhaps someone else will confirm that SWAG.

Unless we're taking about two different things.

OP, you don't actually mean the tipover (fall) sensor, do you?

No, it was the immobilizer as per the BREVA I had. The reason I asked is that I told the insurance company that the new bike had one. You know how picky they are when it comes to paying out. (Any disclosure error is liable to render the policy ineffective.
I will have to notify them. Thanks for your replies fellas.

Cheers
