I am in the market for bag supports, though not the bags (gonna make those).

Has anyone seen the new "kits" firsthand? I like the bag supports they have for the "legend" kit, but I am curious about how they sit on the bike. Seems they're designed for the high mounted pipe, and I'd rather have a rack that sits in nice and tight. I can't find a decent pic of them anywhere, other than a "side view".

For the record, I'm looking for a black rack, not too "obtrusive"... willing to take recommendations. Bags will most likely be waxed canvas and leather.

Thank you.

If you're looking for "unobtrusive" google "Hepco Becker C-Bow".  And search here, tons of info on the mounts and bags.

I have the rack from the Scrambler kit. The quality seems nice but I think I may be swapping it for the rack on the legend kit though. As for the pannier mounts, I'm not a huge fan. If I add them to my V7II in the future I intend to find a custom shop to make me some that are styled more like this:

May I ask why you don't like them? Is the right pannier rack "extended" to make room for a high silencer?

Assuming you're speaking to me @toecutter, I don't care for how the bike looks when bags or cases are not attached. You have these giant rectangles on the side of the bike that really detract from the look of the bike. The C bow isn't bad but I think black steel tubing looks better.

Moto Guzzi Customer Service UK confirmed to me by email that the same rack and side panniers frame is used for all V7 2 models. This may be  (a) wrong or (b) just the case in the UK as the racks shown for the Scrambler and Legend on the Guzzigarage site definitely look different: 1 seems to have an additional brace reaching in towards the bike whereas the other doesn't.

The smaller rack on the guzzi garage site is actually not the same as the image on the site. The center attach point does not exist. Instead there's just two bolts on each side (4 total) of the rack where it attaches to the rear of the frame.

That supports them being the same rack across the Legend and Scrambler kits then. Just looked again on GuzziGarage and they have the same Product Code too.

I built my own bars to keep the saddlebags off the shocks on my Monza. Starting at the top the rear seat mount has a plate from which a 10mm rod comes out far enough to clear the seat and ducktail, then bends forward to the top shock mount. Another right angle plate about 40mm long uses the top shock mount bolt. Then the rod is bent down to become parallel with the shock itself before being bent forward to a plate which uses the rear peg as its mount. This lower section is parallel with the pipes so with the top run parallel with the frame, the middle parallel with the shock and the bottom run parallel with the pipes, painted black it blends in and it almost invisible.

My bike was in the gallery (white Monzada) but I can't see that now. I don't post pics because Mozilla didn't like photobucket (or I'm just not clever enough!) but I'm more than happy to post you a PM'd pic if someone wants build what I did.

Guzzi content: material cost NZ$ 27.50 in 1988, including paint. Beer for the guy who welded it was extra though...
When you spend more time spannering than using, you have reached toy saturation.....

A mate made up this one for my V7C in 2011 - stainless rod & plate - with a tube bender - materials cost $AUD 50. It's had a lot of use.

There are two racks. Product codes are one number different.

Large Rack (Legend): https://www.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=75526

Sorry I was using 'rack' to mean the side bag frame, not the luggage rack, as per OP's definition.
