850 Lemans fairing orange ????

I know this has been brought up before but I can't find the answer.....  I'm refinishing the fairing on an early Lemans.  I'm not sure if the orange is painted on or a decal.  I believe it's painted.  Anyone know for sure ???  Thx, Dave.

It's paint, not a decal. I inquired this April while in Mandello del Lario. However, I don't have a usable code.

You can buy small rattle cans of day glow orange at your local craft/hobby store. Looks great!

I too have seen originals that appear to be a decal.  The mystery and debate continues...
