If anybody is looking seriously for a Cal II I have a 1986 in the classifieds. It is in good condition and ready to ride, I just need to make some space. Comes with some extras also!!

While the G5 has a more 'classic' look; round cylinders, individual guages, straight seat, footpegs,  I think you'll find the CAL II a more  comfortable ride. The Sqaure fin motor is simply better. I had one for a looong time. Great  machine.

At 80K, you're prolly due a U Joint if it hasnt been replaced, perhaps a clutch, a timing chain tensioner if its original, and from time more than mileage, a stator - tho Id recommend going with a euromoto electrics upgrade.   Same would apply to any big twin of the era and that mileage.

I have to confess yours looks fine
Mine was a special kind of fugly with the king & queen finished in red velua
One of my friends named it the French Bordello seat
Taken on the day I rode her back from Sedro Woolley to BC

Roy I must say I like the color of the bike.  Very handsome but the velour seats do remind of a 1980's Cadillac interior.

The one in Creston OH is about a half hour from my house. I wonder if he will re list it?

Did we ever establish the milage of the bike in question?

A word of advice, don't go and look, it will steal your heart

I called the owner today to find out more about the bike (including mileage) but it had been sold.  She would not divulge the selling price to me.

Hmm, if it's been listed more than once, and capped out at $1700 this time, I can't help but wonder if the seller would take $2K or thereabouts for it? I think it sounds like a solid bike, taken care of, and the seller has a spare saddlebag, plus the original (but cracked) windshield - wonder how badly?
It might just be a real bargain...

The Cal II from NY with 18K was listed once before with no starting price but the reserve wasn't met.  The new posting has stickers from a motorcycle shop on it but did not see them on the first posting.  The Ohio Cal II with the external oil filter conversion should get 2K.
