Ok...here ya go:  I'll do a comedy routine at Okie if I can get Lucydad to make it to the GRIT rally...ba da boom!

15 minutes...let's see, that's about 50-60 jokes...I'm not sure I have that many in the repertoire.  Maybe I can just channel Fluffy!!

Good start on a comedy routine right there!

Have we heard from David Welch yet ? Dave and Dottie ? Considering JN's propensity for showing up W/O warning , maybe a bit of "surprise" is appropriate

 Dusty

Relax Dusty,

Dave Welch reports back that he has correct dates.  Also posted dates on the GRIT facebook page.

Mary still has not answered the phone.  So I don't know if I am booked or not....

Mary called me back and got it straightened out.  You know this a 3 day weekend (as always)?

Appropriately, Columbus Day

Don't be surprised if I show up in my car. Might try something different this year. Want to check out the trails near the camp so I may bring the atv. As long as they don't mind me parking the trailer in the grass and setting up camp on the trailer. Least I won't have tent on ground.

How ever I get to Ok, will be a great time!

See ya

I'd recommend you call the park.  You might have to get an RV spot.

Dusty, this is still on my riding calendar for this year.  It will take me at least two days in each way, but it is on the calendar.  Looking forward to seeing everyone there and having a good time.

That's a good thing Chuck , since you are one of the "surprise" guests.  Dusty

We're in trouble.  I'm about the most dull guy I know.  About the only surprise will be if my old Beemer makes it without problems.

Although, I do want to meet John L. from Edmond.  He assisted me in finding a shop to rebuild the Ohlins for the bike and I want to thank him for that.

Hey  Doug.  I dug deep into the depths of my hard drive and found the information requested.
This year, 2016, makes for the 15th Oklahoma Campout which was started by Ken Bunch in 2002.
So for what ever year, subtract one.

Sad part is , pretty sure I was at the first one , and for sure the second one , just couldn't remember exactly when that was . Speaking of Mr Bunch , maybe Shorty will lure him down to hang out with us unsavory types . LOL

I left a message on his mobile. Told him he was inquired after.....

Current plan is to ride down on Saturday and spend the day then ride back.  Birthday parties on Friday night and Sunday that weekend.  The campout is only about an 2 inches away from me on the map anyway :-)

If only this could be moved to the next weekend...doesn't look like i can escape on Friday to come on up (Madame has to work) so we can't leave until Saturday morning, too long a haul to go up 450 miles 2 up in one day only to turn around the next day and drive back 450 miles.

On other hand, I might have only this weekend to go and collect the V11 Scura from Mississippi...as all other weekends in October are booked also...

Now maybe I can figure out a way to go and collect the Scura and swing by Talihina on the way back...will have to see how much of a detour that is..

Too many activities...not enough time!

Dates were known...of course.  The other Houston resident...that will be Tom if anyone, I presume you don't mean I'm trying to bring Lucydad...haven't heard anything from him since he departed this dear forum.

Madame's work load is not something I control...she doesn't work for me!  Not allowed!!  :)  If for some reason I can get her to get all done on Thursday, then we might go collect the Scura and swing back thru Talihina to show the new toy and even take it for a spin on the Scenic Byway...

She wanted to make the trip...but even I'm not willing to just ride up 450 miles, setup a tent for a few hours and turn right back around...I'm not 20 anymore!!

Now that's a nightmare...but to be fair, I never committed to the Okie this year, we always had an Asheville, North Carolina visit in mind to go to Overland Expo, but then Madame's work schedule became more concrete, so that was cancelled also...and that just leaves me a Sat/Sun to go pick up the Scura since all my future October weekends are spoken for at this point...

Trust me...I'd love to come and tell jokes, drink moonshine and otherwise enjoy the splendid company of my fellow Guzzisti...

I have my spot reserved for Thursday.

I plan on hitting Pete's and riding Friday and Saturday.  I'll have my trailer and the Greenie.

Bev's not coming.  Micheal D has Saturday night.  But I have 2 more beds in the trailer (first available).  I am just looking for some special rides before I head back on Sunday.

I have some great tunes but don't expect any TV reception.
